Shelly the Dog needs a home

Meet Shelly! She’s around 5 years old and 40 lbs. We are trying desperately to help this sweet girl find a home by posting her as a guest with our rescue. We know Shelly well and see her daily and just want to help her. Shelly has been put through the ringer. First she was dumped at animal control as a stray, then rescued quickly by a nice couple because the shelter was about to kill her, and now has been living in boarding for over a year. :((


She doesn’t understand why she doesn’t have a home yet. Shelly is a lovable girl and just wants a home of her own. We think someone hasn’t been nice to her at some point in her life but once she sees you’re nice and a trustworthy dog person, she warms up quickly! She‘s been allowed to play with a couple of sweet, playful male dogs at the boarding kennel and has done great. She is completely housebroken, spayed, vaccinated and a healthy girl.
